Parent workshop provides helpful strategies

Last night Beaconhills College hosted an event for parents to help support their children’s emotional and self-regulation skills through movement and play.

Our guest speaker was Robyn Papworth from Play Move Improve. Robyn – an exercise physiologist, a developmental educator, trainer and mum herself, presented some very helpful and simple self-regulation strategies for daily routines, activities and play spaces.

This morning, the College received some wonderful feedback from a number of people who attended the workshop.

“Thank you very much for a fabulous event last night, both my husband and I thought it was brilliant”, said one parent.

Vicki Reid – Head of Little Beacons, said she was thrilled the College was able to host such an event for the community and looks forward to more in the future.
