Vale Revd Hilary Roath

We are saddened to hear of the recent passing of former College Board member Revd Hilary Roath.

Revd Roath was the vicar at St James’ Pakenham from 1998 to 2011. She served on the College Board during that time and was also the Pakenham Campus Junior School Chaplain from 2003 to 2006.

Revd Roath was one of the first Victorian women ordained as priests in the Anglican Church, and was the first female vicar at Pakenham.

College Executive Principal Stephen McGinley remembers Revd Roath for her “warmth and generosity in her continued support of the College”. He said she attended College community events after her Board service ended, always offering words of encouragement and support.

Hilary’s funeral will take place on Thursday 5 June in Glen Waverley.
