Congratulations to Class of 2021 graduate Rochelle Paris whose VCE Media (Photography) work has been selected to be displayed at the 2021-22 TOPshots exhibition at the Monash Gallery of Art.
TOPshots is an annual celebration of emerging photomedia artists at the MGA and showcases exceptional photographic work produced by VCE students who have completed Art, Media and Studio Arts subjects. The artworks selected are from a large pool of entries and represent a small sample of the creative talent that emerged from work produced in 2021.
“This is a major achievement for Rochelle, as this exhibition is judged by industry professionals in the photography industry,” said Nick Zomer – VCE Media & Visual Communication Design Teacher.
Rochelle is very excited about her work being selected and explained how her interest in photography has long been inspired by her dad.
“Often dad would venture off to take photos on our family holiday and I would always tag along with him,” Rochelle said.
The exhibition begins 18 May and will be on display until 26 June. The winner of the inaugural Rosie Hughes Memorial Prize will be announced on the 28 May.
