Long-serving headmaster Tony Sheumack was awarded life membership of Beaconhills College at the annual Governors Dinner held at the Pakenham Campus on Friday 31 March.
The annual event celebrates the service of current and past College Board directors, who volunteer their expertise in the governance of the school.
In announcing the award, Board Chair Dr David Moseley told guests that while Tony had finished in his headmaster’s role at the end of 2021, it was wonderful to see one of his last projects – the Tony Sheumack Centre for Performing Arts – officially opened this year.
“Tony’s vision led directly to the development of the Berwick Campus, the College International Program, significant environmental and sustainability initiatives, and the impressive Learning that Matters framework that has been such a successful driver of high quality education and development for our students,” Dr Moseley said.
Tony served as headmaster for 24 years and he will become the 23rd name to be added to the list of Beaconhills College life members.
