Year 8 French students from both campuses returned from an exciting eight-day cultural study tour of New Caledonia on Wednesday.
The students had a fantastic time and enjoyed all the activities which included a guided tour of the city, daily French lessons and a trip to the Aquarium of Marine Biology.
Other fascinating places visited were the Tjibaou Cultural Centre which showcased the Kanak history and culture – the largest cultural group of New Caledonia, College de Tuband, Blue River National Park, Amédée Island and the Lantern Festival for Anniversaire de Nouméa.
A special highlight was Collège de Tuband where the group taught some New Caledonian students how to play football and then later got to know them more over a traditional lunch together.
