Year 12 student from Pakenham Campus Liam O’Connor recently received the incredible news that he has been selected to play in the Cricket Australia Under 19 Men’s National Championships in Adelaide this December. Liam was one of 14 players chosen for the 2022-23 Vic Country U19 Male Emerging Players Squad after a trial earlier this year.

Starting cricket at age nine, Liam has progressed through the Australian Cricket Pathway, where he has recently played at a high level in a Dowling Shield squad and for Casey-South Melbourne in the Premier Cricket competition.

Liam’s specialty is his leg spin bowling, which he began teaching himself at age 12.
