Celebrating 40 years

On Saturday 30 April, the Beaconhills College community came together for Open Day and to celebrate 40 years since the opening of Pakenham campus.

The day was a huge success with around 650 past, present and future families attending student-led tours at both Pakenham and Berwick campuses.

A new archival display showcasing a historical timeline, photographs and memorabilia from the early years of the College was unveiled and a host of special events included a founder’s lunch, 40th Anniversary Celebration and Thanksgiving church service.

Executive Principal Mr Stephen McGinley was thrilled with the day’s events:

“Open Day this year was with a difference. Being joined by our founding staff, former Principals, Governors, families and students, we were able to celebrate and pass on our gratitude for the incredible contribution these people have made in establishing a school that we enjoy today,” Steve said.

“We owe so much to these special members of our community and it was wonderful to spend time together remembering our proud history.”
