Beacon of Hope rooms

Our extensive Citizenship and Service programs now have an exciting new home at Beaconhills College.

The Beacon of Hope rooms at Berwick and Pakenham Campus house colourful displays, photos, banners and real examples of some of goods donated to charities, such as sleeping bags for the homeless, wildlife/animal packs, FeedMelbourne food packs and SolarBuddy solar lights.

Year 6 students last week were keen to check out some of the displays, as part of their RAVE (Religious and Values Education) unit on stewardship.

Head of Citizenship and Service, Clare Tuohy, led a discussion about the College service programs and their extraordinary impact on the lives of those in need – in our local community and in countries such as East Timor and Bangladesh.
