Beaconhills College has its second Alumni Breakfast Series event coming up on Friday 24 May.
The event theme is ‘Science and Medicine’ and we will welcome special guest speakers Dr Lauren Macreadie (Class of 2005) and Dr Leaha-Marie Hill-Buxton (Class of 2010).
Lauren is an ARC DECRA fellow and a UNSW Scientia Fellow at the University of New South Wales and investigates how porous materials can be used to solve our key energy questions around hydrogen storage and transport, and chemical separations. Her research will ultimately contribute to the Net Zero initiative in NSW.
Leaha, who has just welcomed her first baby, is an orthopaedic surgeon with Eastern Health. She completed her studies in Biomedicine and Medicine at Monash and Deakin Universities.
Join us to hear two inspiring stories on Friday 24 May at our Pakenham Campus Senior School Lecture Theatre (Enter via Gate E – Pakenham Road) from 7.30-8.30am. The MC is Pakenham Campus Head of Science (5-12) Wendy Prendergast.
Tickets are $10 and include coffee and breakfast – coffee available from 7am.
Staff, senior school students and parents are encouraged to attend.
