Beaconhills College celebrated Reconciliation Week with a series of cultural experiences that encouraged our community to learn, reflect and connect.
Across both campuses, students took part in special Reconciliation Assemblies, while our Little Beacons children enjoyed Storytime with Wurundjeri Elder Murrundindi, whose guidance and cultural knowledge continue to enrich our understanding of Aboriginal history and identity.
We were thrilled to welcome musical performances by Torres Strait Islander and musician Kiwatt Kennell, whose music brought energy and cultural pride to the College.
At Berwick Campus, two talented students offered a beautiful acoustic rendition of My Island Home, creating an atmosphere that honoured the significance of the week.
We also proudly continued our long‑standing involvement in the Worawa Reconciliation Sports Carnival, where 56 students joined schools from across Victoria in netball, volleyball, basketball, cross‑country and football. Our students represented the College with respect and strong sportsmanship, with several standout results across the day.
This year’s theme, All In, was reflected in our conversations this week, reminding us that reconciliation grows when we come together with respect, openness and a shared commitment.
