College and Berwick Dux Manuth’s 99.95 ATAR capped off a successful academic journey at Beaconhills. He had already earned 50 subject scores for Mathematical Methods and Physics, which he completed in Year 11. His Maths results also saw him receive a Premier’s Award in July 2025.
Manuth was up at 6am on VCE results morning to check his ATAR and said he “didn’t really know what to think” after seeing the result.
“The last four years has been a lot of effort – but now I’ve got it I can’t fathom it,” he said.
Manuth credits a consistent study routine, such as completing two exam questions a day, to his result. But he also found time to take walks with his mum for coffee, and even volunteered every Saturday for three hours at his local Salvos store.
For 2026 he plans to study a Bachelor of Applied Science at the University of Melbourne. He said while he loved science, he particularly enjoyed his French and English subjects.
“I really appreciated the different perspectives French has given me with regards to the world, and understanding how and why we use English,” he said.
His immediate plans to celebrate involved “a lot more sleeping”, he said.
Manuth was a Beaconhills College captain in 2025. He was one of just 42 students across Victoria who achieved the top 99.95.
