Relay for Life: citizenship and service in action

Once again I was delighted to see so many members of our College community – students, staff and families – taking part in our two recent Relay for Life events.

Not only does this represent a huge amount of money raised for cancer research, but Relay for Life demonstrates the strong communal bonds that exist throughout our school.

The genuine enjoyment and sense of achievement our students gained from being involved in this event – of doing something proactive to help others – was evident.

There are few people who have not been touched by cancer in some way. The willingness of everyone in our College community to unite in the fight against this disease is heartwarming. It truly shows our ‘Learning That Matters’ principle of citizenship and service in action.

Thank you to everyone who took part.
