A student campaign to help clean up rubbish at Beaconhills’ Berwick Campus gained momentum last term with more than 25kg collected from the perimeter fence.
Year 7 students Lachlan Haysom, Eden Young and Tom Stephens started the ‘change the the world’ project in their Religious and Values Education (RAVE) class. Other students and teachers soon joined the cause.
RAVE teacher and College Chaplain, Rev. Steve Terrell said the project was a great example of project-based service learning: “These students feel like they are putting the College values into action and really making a difference. It’s what RAVE is all about.”
