Year 11 Beaconhills College athlete Cameron Debruin was presented with the prestigious Pierre de Coubertin sporting award at a ceremony at Melbourne’s MCG last month.

The annual award recognised students who are active sports participants and display the Olympic ideals of fair play and sportsmanship. It is administered by the State Olympic Council.

Pakenham Campus Head of Sport Jan Pucovski said Cameron has been an excellent contributor to the College’s athletics program. He is current age champion, overall ACS (Association of Co-education Schools) champion and holds ACS records. He was also a key member of the intermediate football premiership team.
