Ongoing student assessment information for Years 5, 8, 9 and 10 is now on our BeaconNet portal.
As part of our phased implementation of on-line reporting, parents and students in Year 5, 8, 9 and 10 now have access to ongoing assessment information for each student on our BeaconNet (intranet) portal.
This means you don’t have to wait until the end of the semester to see how your child is tracking in certain subjects.
For Year 5 students, English, Maths, Science and Humanities results are now available. Year 8s will have English and Maths results shown, while Year 9 and 10 students will have all subjects’ results available.
Once you log into BeaconNet, you will find all the assessment the student has for the semester on the ‘Results’ page which is found under the Information tab (remember to click on the relevant student top right). The Results page will show when assessments should be completed (week number) and the overall percentage value in terms of their final result. Teachers may also write extra comments if required. You can expect to see each result uploaded about two weeks after the assessment has been completed.
While the system has been developed currently with these specific year levels, it will be extended to all students across the College in the future.
This is a very exciting development to our online reporting and will further enhance communication provided by our ‘one stop shop’ parent portal. I hope this initiative will be very useful for you and your children.
