Youth Citizen award for student

We are proud to announce news that Beaconhills student Sienna Vulin has been awarded Upper Beaconsfield Youth Citizen 2020.

Sienna, who is in Year 8 at our Pakenham Campus, is an exceptional community volunteer whose achievements include:

  • founder and annual fundraiser for the ‘Vulin Family Kinder’ in Bhola Island, Bangladesh through the Fred Hyde organisation. This kinder has 100 students.
  • junior brigade member at Beaconsfield CFA.
  • helps Upper Beaconsfield CFA with annual events such as Clean Up Australia Day, CFA open days, Carols By Candlelight and the Upper Beaconsfield Village Festival.
  • raised funds for Drought Relief during the Bunyip Complex Fires.

Sienna believes that volunteering in her local community is important because “it is what keeps us all connected and makes us stronger”. She says it makes her happy when she makes others happy.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Brett Owen recently presented Sienna with her award.
