Interest ‘sparked’ in Taiko Drumming

Senior students Annabella, Mackenzie and Milie of the Pakenham Campus Taiko Drumming Club put on a fantastic performance and workshop for the Middle School Sparks Club this afternoon.

Sparks is a lunchtime club run by the College Chaplain and Wellbeing teams that offers students the chance to explore different activities and meet new friends. The aim is to encourage students to pursue their passion and find their ‘spark’.

Annabella, Mackenzie and Milie have been learning to play the Taiko Drums since they were acquired by the College in 2018. They love the insight that it gives them into the Japanese culture. After this rousing performance, we may just have some new Taiko Drumming enthusiasts at the College.
