Rachel Caulfield’s career has had a stellar trajectory since she graduated from Beaconhills College in 2011.

Rachel has quickly proven her talent in just five short years since she joined the John Holland Group, a leading construction, tunnelling, rail, building and service provider.

As IT Service Management Manager – Information and Technology – Rachel is now responsible for IT services to the group’s 6500-plus users in 160 locations across Australia and New Zealand.

“What I enjoy most about my job is having my finger on the pulse for IT operations – through managing high impact events and carrying out high risk changes,” Rachel said.

“Working for John Holland is a privilege as I work behind the scenes providing a support role for our people on the ground implementing the biggest infrastructure and building projects across Australia.

“This includes Melbourne Metro, Sydney Metro, the West Gate Tunnel Project and the recently announced Sydney Children’s Hospital.”

After joining John Holland, Rachel concentrated on building relationships across the group and quickly became a “go to” person who helped answer questions and solve problems.

She paid tribute to her Beaconhills College (Berwick Campus) teachers for many of her skills and interests; “Alan James for analytical thinking, Victoria Spicer-Stuart for community building and Simon Curtis for sparking an interest in politics.”

The former Clark House captain said that along with performing arts, her favourite part of school was public speaking, which helped prepare her to speak at work in front of her largest audience of 5000 people.
