Year 9 Beaconhills student Elliot Perez has placed third against competitors from across Victoria in last weekend’s Japanese Speech Contest held in Windsor.

Seven students from the College took part in the competition, run by the Japanese Language Teachers Association of Victoria. Students took part in two categories of individual speech and pair conversation. Teacher Junji Sakamoto said it was challenging  for students to speak in another language in front of such a large audience and they did a fantastic job.
