A Performing Arts scholar at the College, Esmé has featured in numerous school productions, her highlights including playing Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar in 2014 and Holly in The Wedding Singer in 2013.

A Performing Arts’ scholar since Year 7, Taig has participated in College musicals each year. In recent years he had the lead roles of Sammy in The Wedding Singer and Judas Iscariot in Jesus Christ Superstar.

Top Designs (Systems Engineering) - Laser harp

James’ spent hours designing and building his amazing laser harp. It comprises eight lasers and eight laser sensors and plays various notes as the musician’s hand moves across the laser beams.

Michael designed a glove-controlled robot that moves based on which direction you move your hand.

Conor topped his previous year’s award for his ‘tricopter’ with another honour in 2015 for his couch design in Product Design and Technology.

A perfect student/teacher partnership helped Pakenham Campus Captain, Chris Gay, achieve the top subject score of 50 in Accounting.

His teacher Saasha Bugeja described his as the student every teacher would wish for, while Chris said Ms Bugeja’s meticulous approach was inspiring.

For her major project, Kim built a ‘persistence of vision’ device. She had always been interested in the electronics behind lighting and visually-entertaining devices, so building her project was both fun and challenging. She went on to study robotics and mechatronics at university.

Jacqui left Beaconhills to study a Bachelor of Theatre Studies at Ballarat University and hopes one day to ‘tread the boards’ at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne or even in a Broadway theatre.

Antoine was always heavily involved in the Beaconhills music program as a keyboard player, trombonist and composer in many of the College’s bands and various smaller ensembles.
