Beaconhills College is aiming to raise $9500 to buy a semi-trailer load of hay to deliver to drought-affected farmers, as part of the Buy a Bale initiative.
You can donate by going to the Beaconhills page on the Buy a Bale website. The College will also hold a ‘Friday for the Farmers’ $2 gold coin donation day on Friday 26 October.
The College’s Head of Citizenship and Service Clare Tuohy said she had received many requests from students and families to help out farmers suffering from financial hardship due to the current drought.
She said the College community had given generously this year to local and international charity initiatives and was known for its spirit of giving.
