Beaconhills students from both campuses recently took part in the annual SEISA debating, public speaking and chess competition.
Our chess teams did well, with Pakenham Campus placing third and Berwick fourth overall. Sam Sail and Matt Pearson (Pakenham Campus) finished fifth and sixth, while Aryan Mittal and Issei Narushima were the best placed Berwick Campus students.
Jamie Watts, Berwick, won the senior public speaking, while Katelyn Reynolds from Pakenham won the juniors.
A combined College team of six students also competed this week in annual ACS (Association of Co-educational Schools) Chess Competition, placing fifth overall against much older students.
