Exciting news for our Year 12 Performing Arts scholar Samuel Loomes who was invited last week to play keyboard in his first professional show, Bring It On: The Musical.
Samuel, from the Berwick Campus, received a last minute call from Daniele Buatti, Musical Director of the show, to play that same night. He did such a great job that he was invited to join the band until the close of show this weekend at Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre.
Samuel said he was “absolutely thrilled” at the invitation.
“I couldn’t believe it was happening,” he said. “After playing piano in amateur musicals for less than two years, it was a dream come true. I have loved the show so far and I hope it is the first of many!
He said he couldn’t have done it without the continuous support of piano teacher Dean Moore. Tickets for the show are on sale through Ticketek.
