Headmaster's Welcome

The College Management TeamWhat are the things that a family considers when they are selecting a school?  They want it to be a place where their child can grow and develop in a caring Christian environment; they look for opportunities for their children to become independent thinkers, they want their children tutored across a diverse range of academic and Co-Curricular interests and above all they want their children to achieve their absolute personal best.

This is the philosophy upon which Beaconhills is built.

Whilst providing students with the guidance, drive and encouragement to achieve academically, Beaconhills offers your family the opportunity to be a part of a community that fosters the academic, spiritual and emotional growth of your children.

Over the past three decades, Beaconhills has matured, both physically and culturally.  Late 2008 saw the launch of our third campus, the Little Beacons Learning Centre in Pakenham.  The centre specialises in play-based learning programmes, providing 160 places with a range of services for infants to early learning.

The opening of Little Beacons creates a comprehensive learning journey from infancy through to our parallel programmes run from both our Village campus at Berwick and our Valley campus at Pakenham.  Academic programmes are offered for all school aged students providing a broad academic curriculum which is taught across the four sub-schools; Junior, Middle and Year 9, culminating in over 60 VCE units and 100 VCE classes being taught in our Senior School.

Beaconhills is proud to be an independent, open entry, co-educational College boasting broad academic opportunities and an affordable fee structure. Our leadership team and faculty staff embrace a modern approach toward teaching, recognising that today’s students are the future facing  a host of new and unchartered challenges; political, environmental and social.

With this in mind, throughout the 2009 school year, Beaconhills will embrace the theme of Reconciliation which, in its many forms, will be discussed at school assemblies, raised in class discussions and in College publications.  Students and staff alike will be challenged to consider the effect and contributions that they, as individuals can make to the global environment.

I am very proud to be part of the dynamic Christian community that is Beaconhills College, I invite your family to come on the learning journey, let us lead your children to achieve their personal best.
