‘Your wish is granted’

October, 2009

Families, friends, students and staff were all welcomed to Beaconhills Junior School production of Aladdin Jnr. in Agrabah, City of Enchantment, where every beggar had a story and every camel had a tail.

Filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides, audiences were able to see all of the favourite characters at the stage adaptation of the Disney hit, including Aladdin, Jasmine, and of course, the Genie.  Hearing the tuneful, academy award-winning songs ‘A Whole New World’ and ‘Friend Like Me’ certainly made this musical a favourite with the younger members of the audience.

All 262 students from the Junior School at Beaconhills College Village Campus performed on Thursday and Friday nights and Saturday in the Performing Arts Hall at the campus.

Directed by Mrs Yolette Levy, the entire cohort of Junior School students were involved in the show, giving each student the opportunity to experience performing.  “The costumes, props and sets were stunning and the on-stage acting and dancing enchanting” Mrs Levy commented. “The talent of the students was truly magical and they all worked incredibly hard to bring together a wonderful show”.
