State School Cycling Champion

Courtney-Paige F in Year 6 had a very busy and successful weekend when she represented the Beaconhills Village Campus, Berwick in the Regions, running the 800m, then the State School Cycling Championships at the Jayco Herald Sun Tour on Saturday, 17th October.

Courtney needed to be at the race by 6.00am to warm up and give herself every chance of winning this race which she had been dreaming about all year, setting it as one of her goals for the year.  Although it was a very tough race for Courtney she managed to hold on to take first place and is now the State School Cycling Champion in U13 Girls Racing. 

On Sunday, 18th October Courtney then competed  in Victoria's first triathlon held for 2009/2010 at the Latrobe Valley Tri Club, Hazelwood Pondage swimming 300m / cycling 12km Hills / and running 3km Hills to place first. Congratulations Courtney, what a super star!
