Grandparent’s and Special Friends’ Day

May 25, 2009

The smiles on the faces of Junior School students at Beaconhills were everywhere as they proudly displayed their work and shared activities with their special visitors on Grandparent’s Day.

Excited students welcomed over 600 family members and friends to the special day.  Highlights of the day included sharing activities and a morning tea, culminating in a Concert.

At the concert performance, each class level sung their own special song to the visitors which was applauded enthusiastically by all. “The performance was simply wonderful; listening to the singing and watching their smiling faces was fantastic” commented several proud grandparents.

“The pride the children took in showing their grandparents and special visitors their school and the looks on the faces of both young and old were a joy to behold,” said Mr Peter Hockey, Head of the Junior School. “Grandparents Day is held annually at Beaconhills College and is a wonderful opportunity for the extended family to become involved in the student’s learning journey.”
