Exciting New Learning Opportunity

The Little Beacons Learning Centre located in Toomuc Valley Road Pakenham, is delighted to announce the launch of an exciting, new and unique opportunity for children as part of their early learning Journey.

 “The Early Learning Deferment Programme is a custom designed offering for families with children who will turn three between January – April, said, Vicki Reid Manager of Little Beacons.  Ms Reid said that “the Deferment programme is designed for children who are not ready to commence a traditional three year old Early Learning Program, but are ready for the ‘next step’.”

The  ‘one of its kind’ programme, run by fully qualified Kindergarten teachers, aims to support kids on their individual learning journeys, rather than run programmes based on developmental stages predetermined by a child’s age.  The Little Beacons Deferment programme offers flexibility unprecedented by other childcare and kindergarten facilities, welcoming children who have not yet turned three or may not yet be toilet trained.

The three year old Deferment Programme is available on a sessional basis or for families requiring long day child care.

Affiliated with Beaconhills College, the Little Beacons Learning Centre aims to prepare children for their journey through life by providing age-appropriate; interest based learning experiences delivered with absolute excellence. The Centre provides a play based programme to meet the individual needs of children. Play allows children to actively engage in their environment, have opportunities to practise and refine skills and to understand and master their own behaviour. The new centre has become the benchmark for excellence in early child programmes across the region.

Through play based learning, Little Beacons aims to prepare children for their journey through life.
