Application Process

  1. The student will need to complete an Academic Test, as part of the enrolment process.

  2. The parents of the student must complete and send an Application for Entry Form (International) to Beaconhills College with a copy of the student’s recent school reports and a photocopy of their passport. Beaconhills want to know how well a student studies in their home country. We also want to know of any English language courses the student has done. We want parents to advise us also if the student is doing any English language study at the time they apply to come to Beaconhills, as this ensures we support each student appropriately.
  3. The school reviews the application and considers the following:

    a. How many places are available in the school,
    b. The time of the year that we receive the application and when the student wants to come into the school, and
    c. How well the student has studied in their home country, or at the previous school. The school will arrange appropriate homestay accommodation. Both the school and the Australian Government see this as an essential part of caring for students who are studying with us.
  4. When the school accepts the application, we send a Letter of Offer. This letter explains the school fees, course details, Year level, and payment dates for the student applicant.

  5. The fees and Overseas Student Health Cover must be paid.

  6. The student applicant’s family then receive an Electronic Confirmation of Entry Document which is needed for the visa application. A copy will also go to the referring agent or designated person.

  7. Please advise us of the time, day, date and flight number of the student’s arrival to Melbourne. Please also advise us if you would like the school to arrange airport pick-up.

  8. The student arrives and settles into their accommodation. Before the school year begins, the student comes to the school for an Orientation Program.

  9. The student begins study at Beaconhills College!
