Career Highlights

  • Leigh has been the Commodore of the Docklands Yacht Club since 2008, the youngest commodore in Victoria.
  • The Docklands Yacht Club focuses on sailing programs for people with disabilities, known as ‘Sailability’.
  • Leigh is currently coaching Ame Barnbrook, a disabled sailor with no arms or legs, to win selection for the 2012 London Paralympics after just missing selection for Beijing.
  • Leigh and his wife Kylie Musgrove, a fellow Beaconhills alumnus, are major fundraisers for the DebRA Foundation, an organisation that helps sufferers of the debilitating skin disease Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).
  • They have raised over $100,000 to date for the DebRA Foundation through projects including: banquet auctions and Kokoda Trail/Vietnam Highlands treks.
  • Leigh and Kylie have also operated a successful house-painting business since 2002.
