College Archives
Archive Centre
After years of gathering photographs and historical material for the Silver Jubilee celebrations, the College archives collection has grown to feature the journey of Beaconhills College from inception through to today.
The Archive Centre introduces the Beaconhills community to yesteryear through displays, books, newspaper articles, events and promotional publications.
In 2007 a book telling the story of the College history was launched. ‘Let Your Light So Shine’ is a 225 page summary of the major eras in the College’s history over the past 25 years. The book is available from the College or the uniform shop for $25.
Archive Volunteers
A number of past parents and staff are presently involved as volunteers in assisting the College Archivist, John Waterhouse with archival projects.
These projects include:
- Collating, sorting and scanning photographs
- Sorting, copying and data-basing newspaper articles about the College
- Cataloguing archival records
- Preparing displays.
Past and current members of the College community are invited to contact John on 1300 002 225 if they would like to assist in the Archive Centre.
