Little Beacons Learning Centre, located at 84 Toomuc Valley Road, Pakenham, is a 160-place children’s facility offering both Early Learning and Child Care Programs. The Centre is licensed under the Children’s Service Regulations 1998 and the Children’s Services Act 1996.
Learning has no boundaries and the purpose-built, natural environment at the Little Beacons Learning Centre is designed to allow children to move freely between indoor and outdoor play. The use of natural materials throughout the indoor and outdoor environments provides unique opportunities for children to explore the natural elements and experience the world around them.
The Centre features a multi-purpose area which provides opportunities for the delivery of a playgroup, parent education workshops and staff professional development sessions. It is also used as a dining room for the children in the Early Learning Program and for the Before and After School Care Program.
The outdoor play space at Little Beacons has been designed and built for a child’s mind. Each of the outdoor spaces flow directly off the rooms and have unique and exciting spaces for children to play and explore. A feature of the outdoor areas is the vegetable garden which is planted, weeded and harvested by the children. The produce is then used on site by either the children or the Chef.

How to get there
From Melbourne, travel south-east along the Monash Freeway (M1) towards Warragul. Take the Cardinia Road exit, turning left at the roundabout, then proceed to the Princes Highway (C101). Turn right towards Pakenham and travel 2.4km. Turn left at Toomuc Valley Road and proceed 900m to Little Beacons Learning Centre, located on the right.
