Postcard from Vietnam
First pictures of our World Challenge students travelling in Vietnam have arrived, with all students reportedly having the time of their lives.
Teacher Aimee Buchan, who is accompanying one of the Pakenham Campus teams, said students were embracing the experience of a very different culture.
“Although battling with the 96 per cent humidity, we are having a great time seeing the sights and sounds of the forever-bustling city and experiencing the culture that is Vietnam,” she said.
The group is a third of the way through its 30-day trip and spent the past week exploring Ho Chi Minh City and the forest of Cat Tien National Park. Next is a five day hike through the Dalat region where students will trek with elephants and ascend the volcanic peak of Lang Bian Mountain.
Forty Berwick and Pakenham Campus students are completing the World Challenge, which takes in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. The expedition aims to teach life skills and giving back to less-fortunate communities.
