New scholars welcomed

Latest News Comments Off

Headmaster Tony Sheumack welcomed the new group of 2012 Beaconhills College scholars at an afternoon tea this week.

The College has awarded a total of 19 Academic, General Excellence and Performing Arts scholarships for students attending the Pakenham or Berwick Campus.

At the afternoon tea, Mr Sheumack emphasised the important role of scholars in actively participating in College life, providing leadership and helping to mentor younger students. He said scholars were positive role models and ambassadors for the College.

The vast majority of scholarships went to existing Beaconhills students, although scholarships are awarded on merit regardless of which school the applicant attends.

“This shows our students are leading the way and is a testament to the high quality of our educational programs,” Mr Sheumack said.
