Students light up the stage at the Rock Eisteddfod 2011

Rock EsteddfordCongratulations to all of the performers, dance scholars, support crew and Miss Borrie who put on a great show in the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge on Friday 12 August at Hisense Arena, the culmination of many months of preparation and rehearsal.

Since our inception almost 30 years ago, the College has a proud history of Performing Arts across all media, drama, music, voice and dance.  The 65 students from Years 7 – 12 who represented the College certainly upheld that reputation.

The College competed in the ‘Raw’ category, meaning that the troupe did not use any props in their routine and were subsequently presented with Excellence Awards in Performance Skills, Costume, Soundtrack and Concept.

Thank you to the staff and students  who put in many hours outside the rehearsal time putting together concept ideas, choreography and costumes, and to the families who supported them while they were doing it.
