Students at the Valley Campus support fellow donors

The Red Cross Blood Bank has recently visited both campuses again and I am pleased to report that we had a record response by our students to this long-standing community service initiative at the College.

Over 60 students at both campuses volunteered to donate blood and a record 109 bags of blood were collected, saving up to 327 lives!

As a result of the overwhelming success of the Red Cross visits to the College, they will visit each campus three times in 2012, instead of the current two visits per year.

Special congratulations to all donors and the teams of Red Cross ambassadors who do such a wonderful job helping to organise the visit and ensuring the day runs smoothly, especially caring for and supporting fellow students.
