Children from Little Beacons Learning Centre found plenty to get their teeth into when the’ Dinosaur Diggers’ incursion came to the College.

The River Bend and Bamboo Rainforest groups were thrilled with the interactive presentation on dinosaurs, including a range of interesting fossils and a fierce, life-sized T.rex skull.

Dinosaurs have been an ongoing theme at Little Beacons for the last two terms, explored through drawings, paintings, books, discussions and imaginative play.

Through the story ‘Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaur Rumpus’, the children have created images of what these prehistoric creatures were like, and have developed a wide repertoire of dinosaur songs. The ‘Dinosaur Diggers’ incursion was an excellent way to cement their knowledge.

Dinosaurs are a great subject for children to learn about. They interest many kids and they’re always so much about their life and habitat on earth that children want to know.
