Three student golfers from the Berwick Campus have played some superb golf to take the title of Victorian School Team Champions.

The 42nd annual Victorian School Teams Final was held on April 29 at Metropolitan Golf Club, with 32 teams competing.

Teams of three golfers from each school played in the stableford competition, with the best two scores of each team combined for a team total.

Jordan F (Year 7), Jordan D (Year 10) and Josh B (Year 12) won the ‘B’ Division and Overall standings by a total of seven shots and a team score of 85 points.

Physical education teacher Damien Hanegraaf says the boys are keen golfers but had never played in such a high level of competition, so the result was outstanding. He says Josh recorded the equal top score of the day.

The team has now been invited to play in the Australian School Teams final at Peninsula Country Golf Club in December.
