Millett House students, staff and parents from Pakenham Campus have raised nearly $4000 thanks to their participation in the Relay for Life at Akoonah Park, Berwick on Friday, 4 March.

The Beaconhills team joined more than 2000 people who joined together to raise money for the Cancer Council. The event raised a total of around $200,000.

Relay for Life is an overnight community event where teams keep a baton moving in a relay-style walk or run.

Head of Millet House (Senior School) Douglas Baxter said the event was a huge success.

On behalf of Millett House Middle School, I’d like to sincerely thank the parents who supported this event. Some parents stayed for the full 24 hours showing true community service in action. It was a wonderful 24 hours spent with some amazing students who showed a huge commitment to the cause by raising a significant sum of money for those in need. Well done Millett House.
