All night relay fundraiser
Some of the relay team participants
Fifty students from Millett House, Pakenham Campus, will walk and run through the night to help raise funds for the Cancer Council.
The ‘Relay for Life’ will be held at Akoonah Park, Berwick from 6pm on Friday, 4 March until Saturday, 5 March at 6pm.
Head of Millett House (Senior School) Douglas Baxter said Relay For Life was an overnight, community event where the team will keep a baton moving in a relay-style walk or run.
“The event brings the whole community together for a night of fun, entertainment, celebration and remembrance,” he said.
Money raised will help the Cancer Council find new ways to prevent and treat cancer, educate the community about reducing cancer risk, advocate for cancer control and support people during their times of greatest need.
