Early Learning Introductory Session

Renowned educational consultant Kathy Walker will present an introductory session for the Early Learning Program from 7.30-9pm in the Performing Arts Auditorium, Pakenham Campus, on 27th January.

Head of Little Beacons Learning Centre, Vicki Reid, said the session was for all parents of three to five year old children at Little Beacons, but parents with children in childcare or at the Junior School were also welcome to attend.

She said Ms Walker would give a valuable insight into the Early Years Curriculum, which she was instrumental in helping develop.

Ms Walker is a regular contributor of articles to the Education Age on early childhood and primary education. She also speaks on ABC radio about parenting and education issues and appears on Channel 10 as a parenting expert.

Ms Reid described her as an inspirational speaker: “she is recognised as a key advocate for changed practices and play-based programs”.
