Berwick Campus Junior School students' nativity play

In the frantic rush that seems to engulf us in the lead-up to Christmas, it is important to pause and remember what Christmas is all about.

I think former American president Calvin Coolidge captured it perfectly in his famous quote: “Christmas is not a time or a season but a state of mind. To cherish peace and good will, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas”.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful staff for their dedication and enthusiasm as we conclude a very successful 2010. Our excellent VCE results have certainly seen the College finish the year on a high note.

To all our students, families and staff I wish a very peaceful, safe and happy Christmas and New Year. And I look forward to an exciting and productive 2011.

May you know the peace of God sung to the shepherds on the first Christmas night: “Glory to God in the highest heaven and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests”.
