VCE Congratulations
Our VCE top scorers
My sincere congratulations to our Year 12 students who have just achieved some spectacular results – and the best ever recorded for both the Pakenham and Berwick campuses.
The College had 15 students who scored at ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) of more than 95.
I believe these results are a testament to the overwhelming success of the College’s open-entry, non-selective philosophy.
Twenty-three students from the Pakenham Campus and 18 students from Berwick Campus scored in the 90s. An impressive 15.1 per cent of all the College’s VCE students scored in the 90s, while more than half of all VCE students achieved a rank of 70 or above.
For individual subjects, 118 students achieved scores above 40 across a diverse range of subjects.
At the Berwick Campus, subjects in which students scored the highest marks included Systems Engineering, IT Applications, Theatre Studies and Literature while at the Pakenham Campus, Systems Engineering, Legal Studies, Literature and IT subjects took top positions.
Many of the top scoring students had also completed a LOTE (Language Other Than English) subject – French or Japanese.
We are seeing highly successful students achieving excellent results by following their passion rather than just choosing the ‘high scaling’ subjects. This outcome is also reward of a very proactive literacy program, in all sections of the College, which is now being realised in some of the strong results in VCE Literature and English.
Well done to all VCE students who have worked hard this year to achieve these incredible results.
