Matt D collects a medal at Olympic Park

Pakenham Campus athletes recorded some outstanding results at the recent Victorian All Schools Track and Field Championships at Olympic Park.

The team came away with eight medals and achieved many personal bests, competing against students from 300 schools.

Deputy Head of Sport Kerry Burns said it was “easily our best performance in the 10 years of competing in this event”.

She said the athlete of the meet was undoubtedly Matt D, who won three gold medals in 100m, 200m hurdles and long jump and a silver medal in high jump – an amazing result.

Tom W won another gold medal in the Under 17 2000m steeple chase event and Mikaela D won a silver medal in the 200m. Daniel S also collected a silver medal in the Under 15 2000m steeple chase and Simon P finished with a bronze medal in the 800m.

Congratulations to Fraser B, Joseph B, Nick S, Brett C, Stephen S and Cameron H who all represented the College admirably and achieved many personal bests.

Congratulations also to Rebecca F (Berwick Campus) who won a silver medal in the Under 15 200m event.
