The creative genius of our VCE students went on display this week at both campuses in exhibitions of Visual Arts, Textiles and Technology.

The exhibitions showcased some striking works of students completing Unit 3 and 4 studies in Design and Technology, Food Technology, Systems Engineering, Visual Communication and Design, Media, Art, Textiles and Studio Art.

At Berwick Campus, former student Alex Earl officially opened the ‘CRE8’ Exhibition. Alex now runs his own furniture, lighting and interior fit-out design company in Melbourne.

Awards were presented to a number of students for their works, with an overall award to a student from each department whose work showed exceptional quality and who had displayed a high level of academic excellence in the subject area.

The awards went to Andrew H (Design and Technology), Candice T (Food Technology), Scott S (Systems Engineering), Joel R (Overall Technology Award), Cassie T (Media), Hannah V (Studio Arts), Joel R (VCD) and Holly G (Overall Art Award).

Former and current students attended the opening of the Pakenham Campus’ Visual Arts and Textiles Exhibition.

Overall winner of the Art and Design award, presented by the Uniting Church, was Claire P. Other art prize winners were James D (Studio Arts), Jessica G (Media), Jane C  and Emma W (Textiles), Kara B (Art) and Claire P (VCD).
