Dance Concert Packed to the Rafters
There was hardly a spare seat in the house when Berwick Campus staged an incredible line-up of talent at the Year 2 to 12 Dance Concert this week.
Head of Performing Arts, Wes Smith, estimates a crowd of more than 550 people attended the night to watch 200 students dance.
The theme of the night was ‘Tribute to Musicals’, with students dancing to well-known songs from musicals such as Hairspray, Annie and The Lion King.
There were many stand-out performances, not just from the more experienced dancers but the younger year levels, with dance styles ranging from hip hop to tap and jazz.
Mr Smith says dance teachers Stephanie Borrie and Rachel Beight helped produce an “energy-packed and entertaining” night for a very enthusiastic crowd.
Congratulations to all Berwick Campus Performing Arts staff and students for putting together a great evening’s entertainment.
