Stunning Netball Victory

Our Berwick Campus Year 6 Girls’ Netball team had an exciting win at the Regional Netball Championships held at Cranbourne on Friday, 13th August.

The nine girls were thrilled to breeze through a challenging morning of netball, beating Central District 40-13 and then Peninsula District 34-18. A comprehensive win!

Their coach and Head of Students, Middle School, Ms Belinda Geddes, says the girls were absolutely ecstatic and she attributes their win to plenty of practice last term and the fact they worked together very effectively as a team.

Their passing skills were fantastic and their goal shooting accurate. Importantly, they kept focused and performed well under pressure.

The girls all received medals for their win. They will now go on to play at Waverley in the State Netball Final on September 10. Congratulations to all players for their wonderful efforts and good luck in the finals!

The players are Maddison H, Gabriela Z, Jackie F, Charlotte T, Tara H, Gabrielle B, Jaymie H, Sophie G and Maddison W.
