Creative, supportive and inspiring.

If this sounds like your type of workplace, we would love to hear from you.

Beaconhills College is a co-educational, independent, open-entry Early Years to Year 12 College based in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. With modern facilities and dedicated teams it’s quite simply a fantastic place to work.

Why work at Beaconhills?

Here are five great reasons

  • 1

    We have great kids

Our open-entry policy means we attract students from a diverse range of backgrounds. We have a strong culture of mutual respect between teachers and students.

  • 2

    A strong & professional team

Beaconhills is a large school, but never feels large because of our close-knit sub-school communities of Early Years, Junior, Middle, Year 9 and Senior School. Staff genuinely enjoy being part of school life, including camps, co-curricular sporting programs and overseas travel opportunities through our language and experiential programs. Many staff choose to educate their own children at Beaconhills, which speaks volumes about the school.

  • 3

    The perks

Competitive salaries and conditions make Beaconhills an attractive proposition for teachers. You will be provided with an appropriate and up-to-date device for your classroom practice, have free use of the College gym, a three week mid-year break and the benefits of a spacious and modern working environment. Many of our staff live close to the Melbourne CBD but find the drive against the traffic a bonus. Those who live locally benefit from a safe and less stressful lifestyle with lower housing costs.

  • 4

    Staff welfare

The College has a comprehensive wellbeing program and a flexible approach to employment. We encourage and support your professional and personal growth – and offer an employee assistance program.

  • 5

    We are progressive

Beaconhills has a firm reputation in the region for being at the forefront of technology and learning. We were one of the first in Australia to roll out a large-scale iPad program. We now have developed, in collaboration with the Harvard Graduate School of Education, a set of innovative, holistic learning principles called ‘Learning That Matters’. These pillars of learning underpin all of our methods.
