Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Beaconhills College. You are making a valuable contribution to the opportunities available to our students.

Parents of Beaconhills students can find out more about volunteer activities that form part of their Parental Assistance contribution by clicking this BeaconNet link and logging in. The forms are under the Parental Assistance heading.

Step 1:

Ensure you have a Working with Children (WWC) check card

Volunteers must hold a valid and current WWC check card* and ensure it is linked to Beaconhills College as the place where you are undertaking your work or volunteering.

* If you hold a current VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) registration, or are a police force member, your VIT registration or police ID number will suffice for WWC validation. You do not need to provide evidence of further checks.

Yes – I have a WWC, but I need to link it to Beaconhills College.

Step 2:

Complete the Beaconhills online training module and registration form.

This enables you to register your details to obtain a volunteer registration ID number and demonstrate your understanding of your obligations while working with the College.

It is a Child Safe requirement that the online registration and training is renewed every second year.

  • Open the form by clicking the link below.
  • Read through the presentation.
  • Complete and submit (this will take approximately 5-8 minutes).

You will receive email confirmation of your registration having been received, followed by another email with your ID number and further information.

You will need your ID number when you are on-campus or volunteering in an off-campus activity.

Education Providers and Contractors

All education providers and contractors are required to sign in at reception and receive an identity lanyard before venturing further on to a Beaconhills College campus.

From early 2017 education providers and contractors will be required to read and accept the College’s Child Safe code of conduct and present their valid WWC credentials.

The College will also contact education providers and contractors who have previously visited to alert them to the requirement.

Complete the Beaconhills Education Provider and Contractor Acknowledgement Form.

This enables you to register your details to obtain a registration ID number and demonstrate your understanding of your obligations while working with the College.

It is a Child Safe requirement that the online registration and training is renewed every second year.

  • Open the form by clicking the link below.
  • Read the Beaconhills Child Safe code of conduct.
  • Complete and submit the Education provider and contractor acknowledgement form (this will take approximately 5 minutes).

You will receive email confirmation of your registration having been received, shortly followed by another email with your ID number and further information.

You will need your ID number when you arrive at the College for any jobs and must sign in at reception or other designated sign-in points.
