Development at Valley Campus - Pakenham
Extension to Performing Arts Centre and New Administration Area
A $3 million grant from the Federal Government has been approved to carry out extensions to the Performing Arts Auditorium. These works include extending the existing Auditorium to incorporate a permanent tiered-seating area for approximately 330 people, the addition of two large spaces for drama and music and a new entrance foyer to the Auditorium. These new spaces will be used by all sections of the College including the Junior School. The existing facilities will be upgraded to incorporate new amenities, storage areas and a fully developed car park on the western and northern sides of the Centre. The development will also include a new central College Administration building adjacent to the Auditorium.
Planning of the development is well-advanced with construction likely to commence in August. The facility is due for completion by the middle of 2010.

Multipurpose Courts
Construction has begun on the new multipurpose courts and is expected to be completed by October 2009. The courts will include a Olympic size hockey field, line marking for ten tennis courts, areas for basketball, netball and volleyball, two large storage facilities and an internal curtain to separate the playing areas. The surface will be an all-weather synthetic grass.
The total playing area of the complex is just over 6,600 square metres, and is designed to complement the current areas of open space at the Campus.
The courts will also be available to local community groups to use outside of school hours.
